Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She has been widely recognized for pioneering the study of eyewitness testimony and child witnesses within legal contexts. Her publications are numerous She has also received a number of grants and is the recipient of many honors international and national levels. She has consulted with numerous government agencies and governments across the globe on policy and research concerning child victims in the legal system. She works as a Consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow in the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 57). She is a founding member of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association's three divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families policy and practice.
